Thank you

Thank you for all the well wishes for Cadbury. He is back at home after spending the weekend being treated at the vets; not out of the woods yet, there will have to be more visits to the vets and tests to be done but his condition is definitely improved. We were allowed to bring him home yesterday evening, he seems quite perky in himself and is obviously pleased to be back home, although a bit groggy with the painkillers.

I finished the Seashell sock at the weekend and started immediately on the second (SSS is something that has never bothered me...yet!) and am now about half way to the heel. I'll probably take a pic when the second is done as it's too late and dark to use the camera now.

And one last thing. A decidedly worrying thing happened in the waiting area this afternoon while I was waiting to collect his tablets. I caught sight of a lady reflected in one of the mirrored surgery doors and thought 'Oh look, Mum's here too' - then realised it was MY reflection. Eeek!

I made that pattern with my Lucy Neatby too! We can be sock twins!

Oh dear, poor Cadbury! I hope he's better soon so will keep my fingers crossed for you. On a lighter note, I love your socks - they look like seashells/mother of pearl and very pretty. Fingers crossed you can shrink the slipper a bit more - failing that you'll have to knit some thick socks to go with them and have the warmest feet around!

I am scared of turning into my Mother, I am booked in to have highlights in the Autumn as I found some big grey hairs last week, I was going to grow old gracefully but when it comes down to it I can't!!!

*hugs* to Cadbury.

So glad that Cadbury is okay . I missed the previous post about him but can so sympathize as it was a year to last month that little Skye had a big op to remove stones from her bladder and that was touch and go . Don't you worry about them as much as if they were children?
Love the socks you are making and the hairband too.
Had a laugh at your reflection bit ; I've stopped looking at mine
, she frightens me !!

Glad to hear that Cadbury is home and fingers crossed he continues to make a speedy recovery. I had to laugh at your mum's reflection comment! :)

Delightful socks and the yarn is perfect to show off the pattern.
I have my father's height and build and am always alarmed at how tall I am in reflections. I walk around, convinced I'm the same height as everyone else until I pass a shiny window!!!
Cheers Gillian

I often look in the mirror and see my mother! Scary isn't it?
Hope Cadbury is feeling better soon.

Hope Cadburys improving, poor thing.
The socks so look like their name! As for your 'mum' reflections, I've found it's when you start saying the same things that your mum says,in a similar voice, it gets worrying!!

So glad to hear that Cadbury is doing well. Lots of purrs from my two cats to him.

Your latest knits are beautiful, love the way the socks are coming along.
