Too slow, Chicken Marengo

10 minutes per round. 18 rounds per pattern. 4 pattern repeats. 720 minutes for the cuff. Heel probably about the same. Foot is only half patterned, that should be much quicker, estimate 5 minutes per round, so 360 minutes. Traditional to make one for each foot. This means a total of 60 hours knitting time. Hmmm.

Scary, isn't it. -_-

Should these be called 'Heirloom' socks simply due to the knitting hours?! Does seem daunting but keep at it I'm sure the result will be well worth it!

Your drops jacket looks great and suits you...

I loved your photos from the lakes... you're definitely a good photographer I keep going back and scrolling through them :o)

Mmm don't think I could spend that much time on socks but they certainly look good I will watch with interest...

In keeping with your previous post, the advantages of spending those hours knitting are :-

1. Sense of accomplishment.
2. Outlet for your creativity.
3. Reason to make use of comfy reclining sofa.
4. Additional justification for watching "Gilmore Girls"
and , best of all
5. A pair of hand-knitted socks.

Are you putting pressure on yourself? Don't you knit when sometimes you would be just staring into space and creating nothing at all (but fantasy clouds - I do that a lot!)...?
I thought for a minute you were participating in nakniswemo or similar...
