Frilly pink...scarf

I was asked to make another pink fluffy scarf but only had about 70g left over of the Sirdar Snowflake Chunky Magic, so (being a cheapskate) I decided to get stuck into one of my New Year resolutions and try some lace knitting. Still not sure if it was a good idea or not, but it has definitely been character building...
Things that I have learned:
  • Knitting with my normal tension does not work (ended up strangling the life out of the first few attempts)
  • Fluffy yarn is not ideal for a beginner
  • I don't think I have the concentration levels for anything more complicated than this

And finally.....

...two pairs of socks completed for Kirsty and Lily-Rose.
Have now started on a mitten and scarf set in Chunky Snowflake for Katy. Hopefully the lace pattern will a) work and b) not prove too difficult in the fluffy stuff.

Dr Fish Socks

Have started on some socks for Kirsty. They are in 'Dr Fish' from Opal Yarns Rainforest range. The yellow very bright but thankfully doesn't make a wide stripe. So far, so good.
